Jaques Derrida, a 20th Century philosopher famously said 'Nothing exists outside of the text' . Nagarjuna, a 2nd Century monk of the Mahayana tradition, was known for arguing that nothing exists at all. He caveated this otherwise nihilistic claim by explaining that the emptiness of forms lead to emancipation from all conceptual views regarding reality.
